BLOG: Looking Ahead — Next Few Days

Good evening, everyone! I hope all of you had a great weekend. It sure was not the nicest of weekends weather wise, and this week does not look much different overall. Many of you have likely been back and forth between the AC and the Furnace, along with the winter coat and shorts.

We will have a Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning for tonight across pretty much everywhere. Temperatures in the upper 20s to middle 30s are expected, which will allow for frost formation. Even without frost, these types of temperatures can certainly cause problems for any plants that are left uncovered outside.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, unfortunately, we will have a stubborn cloud deck redevelop through the day as another round of moisture fires off scattered showers. It should be a touch milder on Tuesday, but still below normal.

These scattered rain showers may linger into the evening. Highs will largely be in the 50s, with a few 40s to the north where clouds may be most stubborn.

Looking beyond Tuesday, we may manage to squeak out a nice day Wednesday before our next larger-scale system moves in late Thursday through the weekend. This is not abnormal for late April by any means. After all, April showers bring May flowers, right?

Rainfall totals will not add up a lot through the next couple of days, but our system that brings rounds of rain later this week into the weekend could bring a solid 1/2-1″ or more of rain. We really were spoiled with the milder weather over the past couple of weeks. Temperatures look to remain below normal for the next week or two at least. Average highs are between 65 and 70, and we do not see any long-term periods of near or above normal temperatures!
